I love reading wedding blogs. I have gotten some really great ideas from other brides posting about their weddings, or the planning process of their weddings. And even though I know the details aren't important, and hope to not care too much how the whole day "looks", I have had a
ton of fun planning and dreaming up a lot of little details (most of which I'm not going to reveal... there has to be some things that are a surprise) But the more I read these wonderful wedding blogs, the more I see little aspects of my wedding popping up everywhere. I guess it means that I have good taste? or maybe just that I'm a copycat. Like, pictures on a clothesline. I saw it on one blog, and loved it. I said to myself "how cute! it's like a slide show, but in a different way. I want to do that!" and now I see it everywhere!

I still love it and will probably do it (though, if we do a book of pictures of us as the Guest Book and we also do this, is that too many pictures of us all over the place?).
In general I've learned a lot from these women. About what to expect from vendors, what the "book" says is the best way to do things, and some fun ways to break the "rules" I have only found a couple vendors through the web though. I believe in recommendations from friends, and only went with online vendors when we met in person and I got a great sense of their talent and their personality.
We are going up to Thousand Oaks to meet Michelle tonight and taste her cupcakes: Chocolate, pumpkin and carrot! YUMMMERS! I can't wait. I'm glad I didn't give up sugar for lent (I took the other half of
Molly's dilemma - I'm doing cheese!)
